From Craig Talley
Dear Family and Friends of my Father, J. Russell TalleyI know I could write volumes about Mr. Russ Talley, and I will in due time. I loved him dearly as did my whole family out here in Chicago. He was not an average man by any standards. One of his proudest achievements was serving the people of the Pacific Northwest as probably the best HVAC service technician ever for Washington Natural Gas, now known as Puget Sound Energy. He would welcome comments from co-workers and others and this would be the place to pay last respects and condolences. He was a strong independant man, passionate about many things, dedicated to his work, loving his grand children, sons and their families. He was proud of his family in the southwest and loved them dearly keeping me informed of events and of their achievments as often as possible.Near the end, follwing his disability I spent a month with him in July 04, getting him settled at home and in managing his affairs after a long hospital stay following kidney and heart failure. When he returned home He spoke of many things to me in private about our heritage, his hopes for the family, he shared his anguish over things that grieved him and dreams for his retirement and family. We spoke fondly of times past, shared our pride in each other and respect for each other as Talley men. He formally charged me to speak for him even after death and made it known in writing over many days of careful considerations what was most imortant to him as the patriarch of our family. Much of who I am is a fathers dream for his boy in becoming a man and I will do my best to pass on the best and leave the rest to the past with forgiveness and prayers for other family members who still suffer. Many of the traditions he started with myself as a child and young man have been passed on to my own children. My Dad will be laid to rest in Salt Lake City UTAH with arrangements to be made by his dear sister Norma. Please use this web log in lieu of visitation to comment or leave last regards for this wonderful man.I and my wife Renee Talley are at your service and will do our best to serve him in passing and hope to bring our familys together to celebrate his life and renew family ties by any means.Russ Talley is now in heaven with his Lord no longer in pain and disability, His life will not be forgotten. We miss you Dad,Loving children, Craig, Renee, and grandchildren Timothy, Autumn, and Kaela Talley847-603-8503 20705 W Miller Rd.
